Tech Chicas Digital Tools Survey

Tech Survey:
What OS (operating system-mac, xp, vista etc.) are you currently running on?
24" iMac destop and Macbook laptop--both on Leopard OS
---pretty fast and plenty of memory available
Internet Connection Speed? (cable, dsl, dial-up etc)
Cable
Do you have a web-cam? Built in or external?
Yes--Built in on both machines
Do you have speakers? Microphone? (some have built in mic's and you might not know it)
I have both on both computers--built ins
Scanner hooked up and running? Do you know how to use it? :0)
Have a scanner, but i jacked up the software installation, so I haven't been able to use it.
Do you have a preferred instant messaging program? If yes, which one?
Yes, Skype--LOVE it!!! Free calls and video conferencing around the world!!
That should do it for now--I've got more questions, but we'll do those later

I have speakers but no built in mics, which stinks because I have to use these awkward headphones to talk on skype. (I need a new laptop). I just finally plugged in my "eyeball" so I can pitch the headphones. Yahoooo!

Ditto with Jen! Love Skype, but don't use the teleconferencing as much because I don't have a built in mic and web-cam not plugged in. (A little lame, I know). I am no longer lame Jen! I am all hooked up!

Yeap, I have one and know how to use it. LOVE my new Lexmark all in one. It ROCKS!

I have speakers built into the monitor
I have a scanner hooked up and ready to run on a moment's notice. I know how to use it and manipulate it.
Instant Messaging...sometime I use it...Aol mostly, but I have Skype, which I haven't used.

I have 2 and I know how to use both of them. I scan all my older photos before scrapping them. I never scrap an original!

I have Yahoo but never sign into it. People only seem to want to talk when I don't want to! LOL!

Do you have a preferred instant messaging program? Not really. I have Aim & Yahoo, but mostly use my fone to text. Can use Aim on fone too. Don't like sitting on my computer all day.

Have HP scanner/printer/copier/fax machine. I hooked everything up myself several times.

Yes I have several AOL reg. AIM(AOL extra)3 MSN/Windows Live mesengers for my 3 MSN acct., 1 regular yahoo messenger, 2 Yahoo that cam with att/sbc DSLacct. I prefer all of them. I use all of them when needed

I wish!! Been looking for a used one. I have a friend that works at a print shop and I can go use the one there if I need something scanned ( just have to take cake or cookies! ) I get to use the high tech color copier and laminater also! Bribery by cookery!!
