I wish that everyone would put an avatar on their page. I love having pictures of all my friends...and every one else. That little gray silhouette just makes me sad!

I agree!!! I tried assigning the default avatar to be the little bird thing, but sometimes the bald alien head shows up anyways! :) I was hoping that the photo tutorial thing would also help peeps to share their projects and photos of families and events etc. I'm going to send out an email blast tomorrow letting everyone know they are here.

I think peeps are just getting used to this sort of online environment that is so new to most of us ya know!?

You really wanna see that? ok, so i get on this big, craft industry corporate conference call the other day where they were doing an interactive WebEx presentation and i'm all muted and didn't introduce myself or anything...only used my first name to sign in because I wasn’t really in the mood to chat with people and I knew there would be folks who I knew on the call too.

Well, about 20 minutes into the presentation i see this little 'video' tab on the upper right hand of the screen. I’m like “hhmmm...interesting” uh...and then it all starts to click in my slow brain and I look up and see my teeny little “built in handy dandy web cam” light is GREEN! OMG!! Are you kidding me right now!? NNNOOOOOOOO!!

I click the video tab and sure enough if my nasty SELF isn't RIGHT IN FRONT AND CENTER FOR ALL TO SEE! I thought i was gonna DIE!!! I frantically tried to put a piece of paper over my little internal webcam to cover myself! Right about that time, I noticed a bunch of the others freaked out and did the same thing.
---I still can’t remember if i had picked my nose or something like that. ugh.

I said this elsewhere but just have to repeat it, You rock, girlfriend!! I have one of those built-in webcams on this laptop and that is one thing that I never plan on using! In fact, after your story I think I'll go and try to figure out how to disable it!!
