OK girls since the green thing is so big right now and some of you are on a "shopping" diet. I thought I would share this super cool and cute website with you. Everything on here is upcycled or recycled. Super cute things and ideas.

Hi Paige...Thanks for the link! Through it I found fabric.com and they had some fabric on sale that I have been wanting to buy! Hooray! I saved $3.45, and ended up with two fabric panels and two yards of another fabric in addition to what I wanted in the first place! So that was quite a savings.

Very cool Paige, thanks for sharing this with us :o)
@Kris, I checked out the fabric.com site too! I wish my mom lived closer, LOL!! I need a sewing buddy to keep me motivated and inspired.

Come one, Ashley! We're your buddies! I've been wanting the Yogi Bear fabric because the kids go camping at Jellystone Campground every year. The little guy loves to see Yogi on TV now.

Ashley I need motivation to. Maybe we should have a challenge or something. I don't know, what would motivate you? I don't know what motivates me. I have a dress, jon jon, and shorts I need to make for a friend as a gift. I love to sew but it is a matter of just doing it.

I like to have someone sit down with me and say do this do that, LOL!! Jen knows from her scrapbook store days, huh jen?? ;o)
After I get comfortable with matching the colors and knowing all the terms and how to cut out my fabric and how to pin it and how to sew it, then I'll be more self motivated. Maybe we need more sewing videos!!
Paige, you could do one on what the selvedge edge is etc..... and then show yourself actually pinning something together and sewing it. Would that motivate you? If you had to sew so that you could teach us?? :o) I still need to buy some fabric and do the top and skirt that I have patterns for. I actually went into my local quilt fabric store and LOVED all the pretty fabrics and the coziness of it, but I got overwhelmed and didn't buy ANYTHING!!!

Love that site! Thanks for the heads up...I am particularly interested in the embroidery machine chit-chat.

Is Potato Leek Soup Crafty?

I hope so, because I was feeling pretty creative!  With summer well on its way, I’m getting into the fresh food groove and inspired to try some quick, simple recipes. The bright hues of the vegies reminded me of a garden party, which in turn made me remember I need to sew a few summer table [...]
