hi Jennifer, hope this isnt breaking any rules for this site...but go to HGTV.com, register, then go to their message board, sroll down to Trash to Treasures, and bingo...the girls/guys there are great at sharing pictures of everything they make from recycling

@ lady godiva--i'm trying to get my hubby into doing a bench out of headboards also, but for some reason we keep hesitating! have you found any good pics online of ones we can copy?

hello all:

this is my first year, curb shopping or trashing as my 3 1/2 yr g'son calls it........

i have found some good things though i am not so creative minded, but i am trying my best.....

have made a few glass totems, a few blue jean totes out of old jeans, and now working on my first bench out of a twin size headboard and footboard...so yes i am learning.

i hope to find many things here that will help me in my new adventure.

I am going to try to upload my pic. I haven't been able to upload, my error of course! lol.

The bottom part has 6 drawers then two cutting board type things pull out and the then the top actually comes off but is tiered so you can put many different things on it. Very cool for trying to sell paper and paper packs and what not. I love this!

I found a junk store today! I am so excited about it too! I spent hours in there and bought a magazine rack, rocking chair and plant stand. They were all ready freshly painted so I didn't ahve to do any work to them. I also bought a pretty set of pink teacups and saucers - so fun!

I prefer to refer to my thrift shop and yard sale finds as "treasures"!

I love junk too! DH hates it when I bring more stuff home that I found at the curb. I found great chairs that someone was tossing out. Two I am painting, and 3 I will re-cover the seat and add them to our dining room - where we currently have 2 folding chairs with the other chairs because we did not have enough when we have company.

I'm so glad I'm not alone in this obsession!

I just love junk and have tons of it! Just went to a couple garage sales this past weekend and didn't find any good junk at all.
