I am more of a wanna be quilter, can I still join? I love to make things with my quilting scraps or out of something old. My twin girls had a birthday part to go to and we were broke as a joke. So here I am stressing over what to give this little 10 year old girl when one of my girls came down the stairs in these adorable glitter studded jeans that were way too small. I told her to take them off that I had an idea. So i cut the top of the jeans off and made a cute jean purse with a long handle and pink camo lining from my scraps. Now my girls want one of thier vary own.

I too, would LOVE to learn to quilt. I need to take some classes though because I do better being taught hands on, kwim?

Big time wanna be quilter. I absolutely love quilts and consider them works of art. I have taken a few classes to learn how to hand quilt, but I would luv love luuuv to learn how to sew the patchwork peices together by hand. I have a long commute to work and always feel like I should use the time to create. Thanks once again JENN!!!!!

I pretty much just follow patterns and make fairly simple quilts. They're just for my family so I don't worry too much about the fact that my corners never match up :)
I can totally show you a thing or two when you're here, Jen!

I've been wanting to make a crazy quilt for the longest time! I'm not much of a sewer but I like to embroidery. Maybe this will finally get me started!

If you don't want to learn to quilt...do NOT read the Elm Creek Quilters series by Jennifer Chiaverini...cause then you will WANT to learn! I just bought the book Basic Quilting- a Stackpole book(got the Basic Crocheting one, too) at AC Moore with my 40% off coupon last week!
