Well, how in the world did I let a couple weeks slip by!? I guess it was the rush of the beginning of summer that distracted me! :) Sorry!

Here is the question for our 8th week---

Do you know where you are on your journey?

I am in the renovation process in my journey. I'm not happy with the "house" that I have so I'm working on losing weight. I'm unsatisfied at where I am with my personal relationship with God so I'm persuing something deeper. I don't think I'm the best mom that I can be, so I'm trying to be better. I know I'm not the best wife but I strive, most days, to be better.

Now after saying all this you may think that I am unhappy. No, I am very happy. I'm very glad that I have the chances and opportunities to grow and change in each area of my life.

Seriously deep question, Jen. Do you know WHERE you are on your journey?
I've thought about this one for a bit and I think the answer is yes, I do. I feel like most of my life I have been where I should be on "my journey". I left home at 18 and went to a great New England college and met lifelong friends. I then moved out to SF in my twenties and met my husband. And here I am, in my thirties, living in an idyllic place to raise a family. My main focus is my family, and here in Round Hill, my 6 year old son can go out to play kickball on the court at 7:30am and then disappear for hours at a time and I know that he is okay. Two years ago I decided that I needed to add to my SAHM lifestyle and became a consultant for CTMH. Again, moving in the right direction and it has been another one in a long line of good decisions. As I look ahead, I see me continuing to grow my business and am starting to think about what I might do once both kids are in school full time. Yeah, I need to work on my weight issues, but don't most of us. I guess that is the only thing that I think keeps me from being EXACTLY where I want to be on my journey. Thanks for another great question Jen!

Is Potato Leek Soup Crafty?

I hope so, because I was feeling pretty creative!  With summer well on its way, I’m getting into the fresh food groove and inspired to try some quick, simple recipes. The bright hues of the vegies reminded me of a garden party, which in turn made me remember I need to sew a few summer table [...]
