My mom just got a 'magic jack' it's a voip option for phone service at home. It plugs into your usb port on your computer and then your phone base plugs into it. Then you can walk around your house as usual on your cordless phone and talk away. It has free calling in the US and Canada. AND, it's only $20 a YEAR!!! She loves it and it works great. :o)

Those are some great ideas and will have to look for the frozen onions, I use onions in everything!! Other than clipping coupons and looking for good sales, I don't have any great ideas, but will keep thinking!! lol

@Kristine,
What a great tip about frozen items :o) I know Rachael Ray always says that buying frozen spinach is a HUGE bargain because of how much you get frozen versus how much you'd have to buy fresh and cook down to make the same amount. Thanks for all your input!!
You guys are really great!

@Kerri, Very cool! Thanks for sharing!!

Have you actually tried making your own laundry soap? And, did it remove stains?? After reading the article, I'm wondering hmmmmm what essential oils does Tide use in their original laundry soap, LOL!! I love my tide followed with Bounce outdoor fresh dryer sheets! Speaking of dryer sheets, My mom always cuts hers in half. It doubles her product and she doesn't like the scent too strong. :o)

1)I clip coupons as well. We are a retired military family, so I am able to shop the commisary, which saves me an average of 30% on my grocery bill.
2)Frozen items CAN really save. I love lots of onion, but will buy a few onions, and usually parts will go to waste. A bag of frozen chopped onions is around 1.00, and lasts forever. Same goes for frozen bell pepers.
3)Once a month I make a huge pot of home made tomato sauce. (use cans of crushed tomatoes) I them put it in the freezer in zip bags,it is great for chili,spahetti,soup, etc. Saves tons over canned sauces!

I'm all for saving and such, but it is a lot harder than it sounds. I do think reallly hard if I WANT it or NEED it.... I have learned lots by that. Considering I am a recovering Shopaholic. Oh and then there is a DESERVE list. Only if you have been good on saving, are ahead etc etc.

I clip coupons and love using super double coupons like today at my local store. I am also selling on Ebay and local site and consigment shops.
