What brand of markers do you use?

I like Copic Markers. Also use the pencils with the mineral spirits. And I love Sparkling H20's! LOL! I just love to paint/color!

I love SU markers, watercoloring with watercoloring pencils and aqua brush, watercoloring with the ink pads and aqua pen, sometimes sponging ink.

I'm so embarrassed to ask what mineral spirits are?!?!? I can't believe I haven't heard of these!!!

oh yeah---and my favorite technique is watercolor crayons!! i thought i liked watercolor pencils until i tried the crayons--

The oderless mineral spirits(paint thinner) are used with a blending stump with regular colored pencils. It sort of "melts" the wax in the pencil to blend. (Clear as mud, right!)

I haven't used the watercolor crayons...YET! LOL

Beautiful cards Christine!!

I like watercolor crayons.

I've played with the mineral spirits and watercolor pencils - but I really didn't like how my project turned out - maybe because of the tool I was using at the time to distribute the color (can't remember what the name of it was-but the demonstrator said you could get it at any art store) but wasn't too impressed by it - because my colors weren't blending. :(

I prefer to using the SU pencils and the aquapainter - I tend to play with them alot when I go visit my SU friend. Saving up some serious $$$ to buy the markers, pencils and all the other gadgets for "coloring" ;) If my hubby only knew.... hee hee hee

I also love coloring with H2Os...they give such a pretty shine to your images!

Do you mean for coloring the stamped images? There are a ton of ways to add color to a card. On of my most recent journeys has led me to Dry Embossing with brass stencils. Afterwards the paper and stencil are switched and the images can be colored with choice of media. Markers, stencil paints, chalk, and glimmer mists to name a few.

Great thread Christine. I just bought this stamp on Monday and had to play. This is my fav technique - to stamp and emboss. I also experimented with baby oil and Prisma colored pencils on the moon. I had never tried the technique before and was so excited that it actually worked! I think it's gonna be a new fav. I know its a little out of season but Halloween is one of my favo holidays. YEY!

I hope so, because I was feeling pretty creative!  With summer well on its way, I’m getting into the fresh food groove and inspired to try some quick, simple recipes. The bright hues of the vegies reminded me of a garden party, which in turn made me remember I need to sew a few summer table [...]
