My son is 16 and my daughter is 3. College and kindergarten are just around the corner for us. ;) One is driving and into girls and the other is making me crazy with potty trainining (can we stubborn as a mule). :) Glad to be invited here for any advice or tips you have to share. I do love being a SAHM, but am looking forward to preschool starting this fall for a bit of a breather. ;)

This mom of four, six and under, is always looking for sage advice and tips. Thanks!

Another "oldies but goodie" coming at you. I did it too, 3 daughters, full time job and during part of that time a full time college student. You need to be super organized - I had NO life. I think the ladies today are smarter and demand "me" time. The best part is now, my daughters say to me ..."mom, how the heck did you do it?" Change for the better??? get these guys to do their part....my husband felt that as long as he put the toilet seat down his household duties were done.

Shoot! I don't know how you working moms did it...I have been a SAHM since I had my first baby. Hardest job in the world!!! I am a mom to three teen boys! (19, 17-1/2, and 14) who said they aren't emotional? They are total fun, though...I can bug them and get a good laugh. My fave thing to hear the youngest laughing at cartoons...yes he still watches cartoons!

Julie, I'd LOVE your advice!

I too raised three kids (a set of twins) and have survived and have worked full time the entire time. I will say it was a lot of work, my husband travels for his job. I could not have done this without the help of day care and other parents help with car pooling for sports.

My children are grown and out of the house and I SURVIVED! Times have changed a bit but maybe I can help you younger ladies out now and then with my experiences. I worked full time through 3 pregnancies and still had some fun! Hope you don't mind an oldie but a goodie joining your group.

Is Potato Leek Soup Crafty?

I hope so, because I was feeling pretty creative!  With summer well on its way, I’m getting into the fresh food groove and inspired to try some quick, simple recipes. The bright hues of the vegies reminded me of a garden party, which in turn made me remember I need to sew a few summer table [...]
