Old McDonald had a farm.....

We So should move to the country! We are such animal lovers! My friend and neighbor has a litter of super cute 8 week old kittens and my daughter (daddy's little girl) talked us into getting one of them. He is SO cute (I know all kittens are.) But, this one has the cutest little bobbed tail!
Anyways, here is my latest smilebox album and it's featuring Grace's new kitty... Sam-Sam :o)

To Do:

Maybe if I make my mental 'to do list' public.... I'll get it done!! So here goes ;o)

The first thing I really want to do is have my hubby build a nice book shelf for my daughters room. She has a trundle bed and the bottom is pretty FULL of cute books that can't be seen let alone read!

Wahoo! Been a busy girl Cr8in!!

I've had an Etsy site for quite awhile now. For those of you not familiar with Etsy, it's a place where people can shop for and sell handmade items or vintage items. Well, Today I listed my very first item for sale on etsy!! I've been making these cute little jar openers.....

My Own dogs didn't recognize me! I hope you do! Plus, Cool closet organizer project....

Today I got my hair cut VERY short!! I haven't had it this short in years!! And, when I came home and came in the front door, my dogs started barking at me!! They wouldn't stop till I talked to them and bent over and started petting them! My own son kept saying every time he saw me he thought I was someone else!! SOOOO, after changing my profile pic to my new look, I thought I better let you all know it's still me, LOL!!

Let's see, what's new...... Well, my hubby has finished building the close… Continue

Just spreading the word about a new magazine I started receiving called "Mary Jane's Farm", featuring an organic lifestyle (not radical) and geared to the "farmgirl at heart". It is a country state-of-mind publication and even the advertising is "organic". Check it out at www.maryjanesfarm.com for a look at what it's about. I kind of like it, although I've only read one so far.

Hey There! Just saw your post on Marilynne's blog. So good to hear what's going on. Guess everyone had a really busy summer (what there was of it, that is. Our weather was awful). I'm hoping to be moved out of my house and into the new one on Sunday -- will still have to empty the garage and all, but I should have that done at the beginning of next week. If all goes well, the new folks will sign for this place on November 2nd. I hope your parents aren't the packrats I am. What a chore to sort and throw and pack, etc. And I should have downsized a lot more than I have! Take care...it was good to see that you are okay, just busy, busy, busy!

Ashley, any sales on Etsy? I tried that for a while and never did anything...was wondering how you are doing.

I did finish a book -- it's a camping one. I'll get some pics here soon. Hope your kids are doing okay! Summer is a lousy time for a broken arm!
I've been trying to get the house squared away, etc., so no cr8tive stuff going on. Also been having some tough "mental" days with all that's happened in the last six months, so haven't been "me" lately. I'll get my act together soon!

Oh Ashley.........I'm working on my chipboard book. My friend picked up six of them at a yard sale (25 cents each). Three are very small, though. And she kept the best sized one! But that's okay. I cut one of the bigger ones apart and used my Corner Chomper to round the corners. They were already rounded, but were kind of scruffed up, so by doing that, it freshened them up a bit. I have the paper on, but need to find some pictures, embellishments and ribbons. Such fun! Will post photos when it is complete.

Is Potato Leek Soup Crafty?

I hope so, because I was feeling pretty creative!  With summer well on its way, I’m getting into the fresh food groove and inspired to try some quick, simple recipes. The bright hues of the vegies reminded me of a garden party, which in turn made me remember I need to sew a few summer table [...]
