The Creative Side Of Cheryl

Latest Activity

Profile Information

Favorite hobby today--
Cooking, Scrapbooking, card making, singing, spending time with my family, spending time at the beach on the west coast. I am also a New Mom to a 5 month old Puppy names Bella Mia.
What would your friends be most surprised to learn about you?
I used to speak Turkish, because I was only one of two american students in the school at that time.
What goal do you want to accomplish in the next 12 months?
I would like to redo most of my albums and do the boxes of photo's I currently have. Drop the extra insulation I have put on this winter. Latest thing that I want to learn is how to make jewelry. I hate to pay all that money for something I think I could easily make myself.
How did you hear about Cr8tv?

Need a Party Theme

I am looking for ideas for a combined 50th birthday and 25th wedding anniversary party. It's for the same people. It has to be family oriented. My mind is not working these days, so I would love any ideas you may have. Please send me any idea.
Thanks

To: ALL of the Mom's out there ....Happy Mother's Day

This is for the mothers who have sat up all night with sick toddlers in their arms, wiping up puke laced with Oscar Mayer wieners and cherry Kool-Aid saying, 'It's okay honey, Mommy's here'.
Who have sat in rocking chairs for hours on end soothing crying babies who can't be comforted. This is for all the mothers who show up at work with spit-up in their hair and milk stains on their blouses and diapers in their purse.
For all the mothers who run carpools and make cookies and sew Halloween costum… Continue

Hi Cheryl,

I am glad you liked the album I made my husband. He loved it. I remember a few years back my daughter started an album for my husband for fathers day with the intention of adding to it over the years. He cried when he saw it and always tells my children all he wants for fathers day is for them to add to the album.

Hello Cheryl. I hear you about the albums, but just remember as long as there is some journaling it's all good.

Cheryl, check out my Blog Post (archived) called new puppy. There's a picture fof my parent's Cavachon. He is actually more spaniel looking. He is so handome - perfect for my dad. They got him at the same place that we got our Cavanese (see Pathetic puppy post). She's a Cav. K.C. Spaniel mixed with a Havanese. The breeder is called Gleneden here in No. Va and I think they may have originated the Cavachon breed. http://www.cavachon.com/ They are both terrific dogs. Though, I think my parents are having the same potty training issues - it get's better!
Thanks for checking out my artwork. I love doin' it!!!

Cheryl - I thought I send you this message off board because I don't want it to come across like I'm tyring to see stuff on this site. But when I saw your post about what to put inside of cards, I immediately thought of the stamp set that CTMH offered as as stamp of the month for last month. It's great for card "insides". But something like this would be perfect (and super easy to use) for your cards...

Is Potato Leek Soup Crafty?

I hope so, because I was feeling pretty creative!  With summer well on its way, I’m getting into the fresh food groove and inspired to try some quick, simple recipes. The bright hues of the vegies reminded me of a garden party, which in turn made me remember I need to sew a few summer table [...]
