A Little About Me....

I have lived in or near Virginia my entire life and consider myself a Liberal-Southerner. I believe in God, marriage for life and the Golden Rule. I have been married for 11 years and we have 7 year old boy/girl twins who have changed who I am (or thought I was) forever-in a good way! I am a loyal friend, Brownie troop leader, addicted to ink and acrylic stamps, a procrastinator, unorganized to the nth degree, unathletic, cat-lover, southern and history fiction book-inhaler, Kaluha-sippin', picture takin freak, ready to laugh with you or cry with you-whatever is needed. I love dark chocolate, afternoon naps, having my kids read to me, rare dates with my DH, kittens, rain, classic rock from the 60's and family get-togethers.
that's me--ready to turn-gasp-50! and get on with LIFE!!!!!

a FRESH start!

Hello All! Well, it has been a WHILE since I posted! I have been super busy with the Close TO My Heart business plus a part time job, family, life, etc. THe latest thing I have been working on is a "Masterboard". Have you seen this latest mag from Somerset Studio yet? I heard about it on Donna Downey's blog (of course since she's in the biz it was gifted to her) so I bought it locally at Borders for $15.00-geesh! what a great quote!!!!!!!!!!

ok, so I have to set this up first.
My kids have a friend-Hanna-same age as them-7-who is a sweetie! She is so petite the phrase most often used to describe her is that "she could fit in your pocket". Beautiful little girl! She has an older sis so you can't really mess with Hanna-she's on to ya!
Anyway, the other day her daddy was trying to get her to speed it up getting ready for dance class and Hanna tells him...............
"Don't rush me, I'm already in a hurry!"

I'm back.....

we're back from a fab weekend-ok, I know,it's already wednesday but it's taken me this long to get it back together! can you say exhausted but excited at the same time? maybe I should of taken advantage of the time to sleep in but I didn't. I completed a 12x12 album for the first time ever in 2 days (except title page) using really cool pre-printed pages and very minimal embellishments. wanted to keep the focus on the photos and stories rather than working each page as an art form-KWIM? anyway,… Continue

I had to do a workshop where I coughed the ENTIRE time. Luckily it was with friends and not too hard so I would come in, give direction, then leave. Oh and the kids were home sick in the midst of it for a week. fun.
How are you? I've got a super busy March, but that's good. We need to find a day soon when you can come over for coffee some morning!
