Is anyone out there?

Where is everyone? I hope you are all out there in your gardens! I know I have been. Right now I am buried under tomatoes. We had a great crop from our raised beds, and a friend had planted at least 20 or 25 plants and every three days she calls for pickers. I have frozen chopped Romas, made tomato-basil soup for the freezer, and today I am doing tomato sauce in the oven. We eat sliced and wedged tomatoes every night for dinner with cukes and have made sauces and salsas by the tubful. I am cooki… Continue

Covered in Quilts!

Wow! Saturday was spent in Quilt Heaven! My friend Maxine (the most fabulous quilter I know) and I and another quilting friend made the 3 hour trip to Sisters, Oregon for the annual Outdoor Quilt Show. The drive is beautiful into the Cascade Mountains, the Three Sisters and Three Fingered Jack mountains shining in the sun, still covered in snow. We So should move to the country! We are such animal lovers! My friend and neighbor has a litter of super cute 8 week old kittens and my daughter (daddy's little girl) talked us into getting one of them. He is SO cute (I know all kittens are.) I'm back (I think)!

I haven't been doing much on here lately, and wasn't very Cr8tive for awhile, but now things seem to be getting better, so I'm back. I guess I was going through a spell of depression for a month or so, and I really didn't care much about anything around me. A lot of it had to do with the family activities going on (graduations, etc.) that Jim is not here for. But I guess it's time to move on and get myself moving. Seattle Swoon Tweetup for Mommy Bloggers!

So lucky to be invited to this event on Wednesday night! I was so tired in the late afternoon and sooooo tempted to bail and curl up on the couch with a cup of tea. Jeep 4-wheeling mishaps and the photobook I'm going to make of it :)
