Relief, please????
Well, I got the results of my MRI about two weeks ago and have been waiting for the hospital to call me for an appt. I do have a herniated disk. They don't want to do surgery as I'm able to function, just in pain and I don't have numbness in my legs which is a sign that it's severe enough to warrant the risk of surgery...so I'm scheduled to go Friday morning to have a cortizone injection. I wasn't worried about it until I found out yesterday that I have to be sedated for it...It is basically like an epidural injection and I thought it would be like when you are in labor...but apparently not.
So wish me luck and hope that it brings me some relief. I'd really like to get off the pain killers and anti-imflammatory medicines...

Comment by Jill - RSQaGREY! on May 24, 2008 at 2:57am - I transcribe for a doc who does these all the time. They can be a HUGE help. Even if they don't help, what kind of relief or symptoms you have afterwards can help plan future treatment. I'm guessing you've had yours already? How'd it go?

One of the Broads has to get this done and she said it made an enormous difference in her life. She was seriously psyched. I hope it has the same affect for you!
