What did you do with your spring break this year? I am a teacher and so I had a few days off for this wonderful event. :) We had off Good Friday, Easter Monday and then Tuesday. My hubby and son went Snow Goose hunting on friday and saturday. My son is 10 and got his first goose this weekend. He was quite thrilled. I got a phone call at 7:20am to inform me of this wonderful news. :) My DD and I stayed home, well kind of. She was invited to go to a friends house and see a movie. I got to tag along for some shopping, dinner and a movie. We saw College Road Trip, quite a cute movie. And then my DD spent the night at her friends house.

Saturday rolls around and I am alone at home. Not even the dog was here, she was out waiting for someone to shoot down a goose so she could bring it back. So I lounged in bed for a while. Then after finally getting up, I created some cards. I was in a card kit swap. You sent another person a packet to create cards from and they sent you one. You also had the same materials for yourself from the kit you sent away. I sat down with both kits and created 8 cards from them. It was rather fun. My hubby and son got home around 3:30pm and my DD around 5:30 pm. This gave me quite a bit of quiet time to create with.

Sunday we did the Easter thing. Lots of good food, and egg hunts and the bunny left some new gloves for the kids this year.

Monday the kids and I were at home. They played and watched Pirates of the Carribean while I hid away in my room and did some actual scrapbooking. That was great, I have not done any in almost a month, so it was nice to be back to creating. I got 4 pages done, and enjoyed some movies as background noise. My DD came in for a while and she got 3 pages done in her book. Emily is 8 and is creating her own album in an 8x8 book. She has a fun time doing it.

Tuesday, the kids are back in school. :) And I am at home with just the quiet solitude. I got some more scrapbooking done and got 4 more pages completed. Now the kids are home, homework is getting finished up and my DD has a friend over. Her babysitter backed out on her mom and we agreed to keep her for a few hours while she and her other daughter go to a class. My hubby is at a conference, so I am taking the night off from cooking and we are going out to dinner. Woo Hoo!

Tomorrow it is back to school for me. I have to go teach during the day and then I begin my new Graduate class tomorrow night. I am taking an accelerated graduate program for my Masters in Administration. It is an 18 month program and each course is just 6 weeks long. This is class number 4 and so far I have a 4.0 GPA. That is soo sweet. :)

Have a wonderful week.

What a great few days! There's not much I love more than an empty house--of course while knowing the family is close at hand and enjoying themselves as much as I am! You have to share some of your creations! or at least pics of the dead goose and the dog? :)

I'm chillin on the couch right now watching movie #2 for the evening and #3 in 24 hours. Hubby and boys and I watched I am Legend last night---not so hot. then we just watched No Reservations which was cute, but not as good as I had hoped---and now we're watching Dan In Real Life--which looks like it might not be too bad!

Congrats on the cool school! Very fun!

Is Potato Leek Soup Crafty?

I hope so, because I was feeling pretty creative!  With summer well on its way, I’m getting into the fresh food groove and inspired to try some quick, simple recipes. The bright hues of the vegies reminded me of a garden party, which in turn made me remember I need to sew a few summer table [...]
