AAAHHHH!!!! Good times!
Ok - so Jessika LOVES the band My Chemical Romance...and being the good mom that I am, I took her and 3 friends to Portland Tuesday night to see them in concert...http://mychemicalromance.com/
Anyway - I'd never been to the Crystal Ballroom before(the venue for the concert) and thought it was like any other...nope, it's just a big open room and the band is in one corner on a low stage...it was basically one GIANT mosh pit...I stood in the middle of the room for 5 hours watching three bands scream...and getting bumped and pushed around...now, if I liked the music it might've been fun(and if I'd been able to take advantage of the beer garden, hehe) but my ears were ringing and my back was killing me when we got done.
Thank goodness Kam didn't go with us - he'd have taken one look at the people in line to go in and would've turned around and left. They were all dressed in black and such...not total goth, but close. :) During the middle of the concert the lead singer stops and says "it smells remarkably like marjuana in here, it really does!"...
The good news is the girls had a blast...they thought it was the greatest event ever and loved the entire experience. so - it was all worth it!
