Been MIA, and all kinds of other stuff! lol

Well, I have been having a difficult time lately. First, I haven't had my period for months and no I am not pregnant. Thank the lord because I think I would just lose it if I were. Then my truck wouldn't start and I had to keep charging it, getting jumps etc until I decided to just get a battery. So far, it still works. Then the air conditioning drainage pipe is clogged. I find this out because I hear this pouring down of water downstairs. I search everywhere upstairs thinking the kids had to have left on water in the bath tub or sink. NOPE, come to find out it was the air conditioner. Still don't know for sure if it is clogged or just producing too much water. HVAC guy is coming tomorrow. Anyway, I cleaned up as much as possible, called a guy and that was that. I had the leak stopped by turning the air off in 106 degree weather. With the kids being gone Steve and I decided to go on a date. We never get to do that since we moved so I made reservations and a great place. Of course I had been feeling a little sick and run down the past couple of days and the day of the date (sat) I decided that I should go to the DR. Well, I have strep. Yep, great. So I take my antibiotics and off we go to dinner and a movie. I never crashed so hard in my life when I got home. Poor guy, I just know he thought he was getting lucky. Maybe he did, I don't know I was leeping so hard. (Just kidding about that :))Anyway, about 10am Sunday I hear this loud crashing. I thought what the heck was that. I couldn't blame the kids this time because they are in Austin with their auntie and cousins. So I go upstairs and the ceiling in the bathroom has caved in. Great!! So I call homeowners to file a claim. YAY! Oh and of course I started my period on Sunday morning just after cleaning up the mess. Cramps, fun. I took Steve to the airport today and call the claim people again only to find out that I won't hear from them for a couple of days, but I am supposed to do whatever I think is important and save receipts. Needless to say I have no hubby or kids at home. I NEVER get this time alone! I am so very excited and even this gosh darn caved in ceiling will NOT stop me from enjoying my time. I just get to share it with strange men in my attic.Unfortunately, it is already starting to smell moldy, so again. I am trying really hard not to let it bother me.

I WANT TO BE CREATIVE!! DARN IT!!

So I am off again to create something, I don't know what yet, I just want to be creative. It may take a little while for me to feel creative or to get something completed, but hey, I have 4 days.

I need to. It all really isn't as bad as it seems. Just sucks because with the high deductable insurance probably won't pay for anything. It's only money right?? lol

Well, hang in there!! I hope your nightmare is over soon!! Did you take pics of the caving in ceiling? Maybe YEARS from now it'll be a funny story? or not.... :o(

Hey Ashley, hanging in there. lol. The crazy ins people won't be able to call for 3 weeks. It is crazy! The kids are back and Steve is gone. So trying times for me right now. Thanks for your concern.

So sorry to hear you're sick and all of your household calamities!! I used to get strep throat all the time before I had my tonsils out

I hope you are feeling well soon and get to enjoy your alone time! And, thank goodness you have insurance on your house (even though they're a little slow)!!
