Belgium
let me tell you a few things about this country.
About 10mill are living here and its a rather little country. It takes about 5 hours to cross the country from north to south. It takes about the same to cross it from west to east.
There are 2 official languages. In the north (were I live) its dutch, and in the south its french. In the capital city Brussels the streetnames (tiny little plates fixed somewhere on a building) are displayed on dutch and french, but they simply refuse to talk dutch. Getting them to talk english is also a little complicated. They only do so if they are 100% sure you'r not a native Belgium.
The north is flat, with a lot of industry. In the south you have a lot of woods and hills. Wintertime is a funny thing here. In the north is mostly raining, and if you drive south about 45 min. you will risk to land in the middle of a blizzard. Last sunday we had one of these typical winterday's. Sunday afternoon we got a lot of snow in the north, but after some hours nothing more was left. A friend of mine was on a week-end trip in the south, and she got trapped in the snow..
