So cute! I love it! I wish I could get this one done that I have on-needle now so I can felt it. I keep putting it off though, because it has to be lined and will need a zipper. Not looking forward to that!

I'd love to give you dimensions, but I didn't measure the length of anything. What I did was double cast on 40 stitches on my knitting needle and knit it till when I folded it in half, it looked like the right size, then I cast off and started on the side panels. I cast 10 on for a side panel and knit it till it was the right size with the body of the purse folded. I knit the other side identical. After casting off, I left long tails of yarn so I could put it through a yarn needle (just like a big needle that you'd sew with but the eye is bigger to fit yarn through). I stitched it together inside out so the seams would all be on the inside. I cast 8 stitches on for the handles and knit them till they looked like the right length for this little beauty. I knew it would shrink some, but was not prepared for how much! I think that if I get some JUMBO sized knitting needles, like say size 19 or something HUGE and make my bag much looser it'll still shrink up and fill in the knitted holes. I'm going to experiment with different wool warn and BIG needles and then felt those and then make a big bag for me! :o)

Oh yeah, the little ties for the bow in the middle I crocheted a long chain and then just turned around and crocheted back up the chain (twice for two ties) and stitched (with yarn of course) those onto the inside of the middle edge of the body of the purse. After all this, I was pretty stinking proud of myself
and then put it in a garment bag (like for nylons) and threw into the washer (that my hubby fixed, LONG story!! ) and threw in 3 pairs of my clean old jean shorts and washed on HOT with cold rinse. OH, and don't forget to add just a touch of laundry soap. Voila! A felted purse

That is so very cool!! I can't wait to make one in fall colors and use it after the kids start school!!! You should be so kind and type up a few instructions for us with the dimensions etc. . And it seems like the straps were perfect, but if someone wanted to purse bigger, they could increase each panel size by say--50-75%??
